The first nine weeks is in full swing, and we are working very hard. The third graders are working hard in all subjects as well as striving to meet our school wide expectations of being safe, respectful, and responsible. We are all looking forward to our field trip to the Swamp Tours this month. Field trip forms were sent home on Wednesday, September 26th. Remember you must pay the technology fee in order to attend field trips this year!
The third graders will continue working on multiplication and division (facts, properties, and strategies) in math. We are moving into the electric and magnetic forces unit in science. In Social Studies, the students are working on the “What Makes Louisiana Unique?” unit. For ELA, the students are reading stories from Julian Tells and are learning about character contributions to a text, character motivations and actions and how it affects the events in a text, and literal and nonliteral language. They are blooming with so much knowledge!
Please make sure you check out the October school calendar for many important dates this month including our annual Fall Fest, an early release dismissal day, and some fun daily activities for Red Ribbon Week!
