Happy New 2019 to all the Blue Jays!
The Physical Education Department wishes all of you a very Happy and Healthy New Year! We all make our resolutions to be healthier and lose some of our ‘bad’ habits for the new year. Unfortunately, sometimes we do healthy things for a short time and then stop. This year, let’s try just a few things to improve our health and lives. Strive to take a 15 minute walk with your child everyday or every other day. Snack on fruits or vegetables instead of chips and drink water instead of soft-drinks or colas. We know how difficult it is, but try to do at least one healthy thing a day. We will suggest and reinforce healthy lifestyles through our CATCH program. February will be here before you know it and February is Heart Healthy month. Again this year we will be participating in Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart! It is a fundraiser with all proceeds going to the American Heart Association. More information and details will be given out in late January. Happy New Year!
