Our students have gotten used to their routine and we are really moving along now. First and third graders are studying the life cycle of plants and animals. They have been drawing pictures of the plant cycle. And they have been practicing their writing skills by recording what plants need to survive and grow. First graders are learning how to add two-digit numbers, and Third graders are working on multiplication and telling time. Fifth graders are working on decimals and multiplying multi-digit numbers. They are always working on solving word problems. Our entire department is committed to improving our reading comprehension on a daily basis. We make time to practice our reading fluency as well as our writing skills. Ms. Lisa’s class is using a graphic organizer to identify the main idea and key details, and Ms. St. Amant’s class is always looking for ways to add technology to the classroom. We find time to have fun too. Ms. St. Amant’s class will be visiting the World War II Air Exposition, and Ms. Drennan’s class enjoyed a trip to the Pumpkin Patch. We would like to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!
